Mitutoyo M Plan Apochromat Brightfield Objective Lenses are for brightfield observations in the visible light spectrum. In addition, there are the "M Plan Apo SL" Series of models that are designed for very long working distances, with parfocal distances up to 95 mm with a longer working distance.

• Semiconductor sub-micron level inspection for Defect Analyzer (Prober Station) and detection of faint light emitted by leaks.  

Features

• Apochromatic (Apo) objectives feature corrected color aberration in a wide part of the visible range.  This has been achieved by selectively using anomalous dispersion glass and ultra-low dispersion glass with a low refractive index. The wavelength-based refractive index in these types of glass differs from that of ordinary optical glass. Aberrations tend to occur for an objective lens with a longer working distance, and chromatic aberration is especially likely to occur. This correction of lateral chromatic aberration and astigmatism results in the M Plan Apo Series products capability to provide the sharpest possible image.  

Chromatic Aberration

• The Finescope 70 Microscope Series is an infinity-corrected optical system that uses both the 378- Series objective lens and the MT Series imaging lens (tube lens) to generate images with aberration correction performed independently on the objective lens and imaging lens. This allows these products to be used independently or as part of an expandable system, with the imaging lens set as needed for customer applications.
