Product Description

AnalytikJena's FirstLight UV Transilluminator has a unique design which provides extremely uniform UVB illumination for the most accurate quantitative analysis.  The FirstLight UV Transilluminator provide high sensitivity and broad dynamic range in gel viewing, which remain consistent across the illumination surface. Software correction of uniformity is no longer required with accurate gel to gel comparisons.  Achieve accurate and reproducible RNA and DNA protein results. The illuminator emits 302nm UV excitation and, combined with a patented phosphor coating configuration, generates exceptionally uniform UV illumination. Each gel receives consistent UV illumination over each band and lane. Multiple gels may be placed on the surface with assurance of uniformity for each gel.

All AnalytikJena transilluminators provide UV back-illumination of transparent fluorescent materials over the full working surface of the filter area. Transilluminators are equipped with an ultraviolet blocking cover to shield the user from UV radiation. The base is painted with a high-quality, scratch-resistant powder coat.
