BRAND® CellGrade™ Plus Microplates (tradename BRANDplates®) are an ideal choice for modern research methods in all the important fields of life science requiring high-quality disposables.  BRAND® has developed state-of-the-art production facilities in Germany to apply their decades of experience in premium quality molding of lab plastic consumables, from pipette tips to volumetric plasticware to cuvettes, to the challenges of microplate design. Plates are designed to minimize cross-contamination, ensure excellent recovery, and offer many options in color, well-count, surface-treatment, and well-shape. 

Applications

• Brand CellGrade™ Plus microplates are optimized for fastidious cell culturing of the many primary, transformed, and neuronal cells which have complex nutritional or other requirements and exhibit weak adherence to traditional cell culture surfaces. This fastidious cell culturing includes:  

• Serum reduced cell cultivation,

• Collagen,

• Fibronectin,

• Vaccine development,

• Antibody production,

• Gene therapy.

Features

• Brand CellGrade™ Plus microplates improve success of in vitro cell growth where the characteristics of the cell and the surface chemistry of the microplate, (cell to surface interactions), can play a critical role.  Typically adherent cells grow well on polystyrene (PS) well surfaces that are modified from a naturally occurring hydrophobic state to a more hydrophilic state that improves cell attachment and growth. 

• Well bottoms are provided in opaque and transparent flat (F) bottom shape.  Flat bottom plates are designed for precise optical measurements. 

Specifications

• Material:  Polystyrene (PS),

• Sterile to an SAL of 10-6 via β-radiation

• Manufactured according to ANSI-/SLAS-Standards 1 to 4, 2004, free from endotoxins, DNase, DNA, and RNase,

• Solid color plates or colored with transparent bottoms depending on the optical requirements of the application: 

• black for fluorescence,

• transparent for colorimetry,

• white for luminescence.

Transparent Bottom Microplates:
