The Models 80, 81, 82 and 83 Phase Separators

are designed to minimize hazardous splashing and vaporization while transferring cryogenic liquids into open containers while using most transfer hoses or the IC Biomedical Liquid Withdrawal Device (LWD).

The IC Biomedical LWD comes equipped with the Model 80 (2.75") phase separator which allows a convenient pressure transfer of liquid nitrogen at rates up to 8 liters per minute. The low pressure [10 psig (0.7 bar/69kPa)] assures safe dispensing through these phase separators.

• Improves Liquid Quality: By venting off nitrogen gas, these devices help deliver high-purity, sub-cooled liquid nitrogen to the point of use, which is important for applications requiring consistent low temperatures.

• Stabilizes pressure and flow rate, eliminating fluctuations caused by gas bubbles and ensuring a steady supply of liquid nitrogen to terminal equipment.

• Reduces product loss by separating and venting the gas phase to minimize loss of liquid nitrogen due to flash evaporation.

Each CGA295 adapter is fitted with cryogenic rated (green) silicone sealing tape, MIL-SPEC T27730A.
