Product Description
The MRC Laboratory Iron Top Hotplates are designed for years of reliable and trouble-free performance, even with 24/7 continuous operation. Made with a heavy-duty iron hot plate top, rugged housing, digital controls (analog only on E-1 unit) to provide exceptional value, performance, and reliability in industrial and laboratory hotplates.
Applications
- General lab and microbiology heating requirements,
- Distillations, extractions & digestions,
- Aqueous and general reagent heating,
- Media preparation,
- Liquid evaporation,
- Semiconductor baking,
- Acid/Base digestions (trace metal analysis),
- Sample drying,
- Microscale chemistry,
- Heat TLC plates,
- Paste, adhesive & solder (warning/curing),
- Solubility and viscosity studies,
- Reaction optimization.
Features
-
Iron Top Plate: Rugged and easy to clean, with good thermal conduction to uniformly distribute heat over the entire heating surface, good temperature uniformity and precise temperature stability,
- PID microprocessor controller (excluding E-1 hotplate) with easy setup and operation:
- Provides digital temperature display (°F or °C) with illuminated readout for quick and easy observation,
- Precise temperature regulation over full temperature range, even at low settings close to the ambient, making it ideal for processing delicate materials at low temperature,
- Closed loop feedback control of temperature range by PID microprocessor, to monitor sudden changes, prevents boil-overs, destroyed samples and lost time,
- Temperature may be controlled either at the plate surface by internal sensor, or by signal from a thermocouple immersion probe,
- Digital timer and ramp to temperature function,
- Digital set-point and read-out of actual temperature,
- Previously stored set point in memory displayed when unit is turned on.
- Hydraulic thermostat hotplate sensor to minimize thermal overshoot and undershoot,
- Safety shut down of heater in the event of broken sensor,
- Illuminated 'Heat On' indicator for safety,
- Thermal radiation shields below top plate for safety and reliability, even during continuous high temperature operation,
- Aluminum housing with chemically resistant paint,
- Sturdy set screw support device at the rear of the base to holds standard labware mounting rod.
Specifications
