AnalytikJena's GelMax Imaging System simplifies is perfect for small gels; precast and mini gels. Place the gel on the transillumination plate and capture brilliant color images. The streamlined software interface guides you through the image capture process with automated pre-set capture buttons. Or, have the option to define settings for quick, personalized image capture. Gel analysis is made easy with the user-friendly software. This small imager is truly plug and play, requiring no training. Applications include imaging of DNA/Protein Gels and Precast/Mini Gels.

- A high resolution 12.1 Megapixel color camera captures brilliant publication quality, highly quantifiable images. The high resolution camera captures images which are crisp, clear and ready for analysis.
- Compact system design for minimal lab bench space requirements.
- Built-in midrange 302nm UV transilluminator.
- Optional Converter Plates are interchangeable to view a wide range of fluorophore and colorimetric stains:
- Visi-Blue™ Sample Plate: Converts 302nm UV to 460-470nm for viewing stains such as SYBR Green, SYBR Safe and GelGreen
- White Light Sample Plate: Converts 302nm UV to white light for viewing Coomassie Blue and Silver stained gels
- Longwave UV Sample Plate: Converts 302nm UV to 365nm UV, which reduces photonicking of samples
- Black Sample Plate is included with the GelMax for placement of samples not requiring transillumination lighting.
- Safety switch automatically shuts the potentially harmful UV transillumination lighting off when the transilluminator is opened or after ten minutes.
- Easily accessible front control panel dials enable easy selection of emission filters and lighting.
- The lighting selector dial controls choice of epi white light or transillumination lighting.
- Filter selection control dial selects from up to five installed emission filters.
- Five-position filter tray, located on the side of the darkroom.
- AnalytikJena's Doc-It LS Acquisition and Analysis Softwareis included with the Gelmax Imaging System:
- Simple, workflow-based software interface to generate quantitative analysis results.
- Installed directly onto the user’s existing computer (not included).
- Pre-set and one-touch image preview and capture buttons to simplify image acquisition.
- Control the camera and lighting settings.
- Define and save specific settings as templates which can easily be accessed for repeat experiments.
- Easily perform image enhancements and 1D analysis and colony counting functions .

- Emission Filter Options:
- An ethidium bromide (EtBr, Red 570-640nm) filter, 50mm square, is included with the system.
- Replace EtBr filter with SYBR Green/EGFP filter.
- Add SYBR Green/EGFP filter for additional capabilty.
