The LD Series dewars are designed for storing and dispensing small amounts of liquid nitrogen (LN₂) or liquid argon.  Seven different models provide capacities to fit a wide range of industrial and laboratory applications. The series includes the LD5 beaker-style, wide mouth unit and the LD4 pitcher-style model for ease of pouring.

Specifications

Check liquid levels regularly. If high evaporation rates are apparent under normal operating conditions, the dewar may be losing its vacuum. The following liquid level measurement chart shows volume of liquid nitrogen vs. measured depth. These values are approximate and are based on a standard condition.

• Replacement Necktube Core - Use only the neck tube core provided with the unit or the manufacturer's recommended replacement part.\

• Replacement Cryostorage Canister, 5" & 11" - Extra, additional sizes and replacement storage canisters for Taylor-Wharton Cryostorage Dewars.

• Cryo-Sentry Level Alarms - Cryo-Sentry Low-Level Alarms provide protection for valuable materials which are stored in infrequently used LN₂ refrigerators. 

• Roller Bases - Ball-bearing swivel casters provide convenience and portability within a working area where frequent container movement is necessary or desirable.

• LN₂ Withdrawal Device - Employ pressure relief protection that is properly designed for the inner vessel of these dewars. 

• Liquid Level Measuring Rod - The liquid level in the dewar can be determined by measuring with a dipstick. 

• LN₂ Dipper - A safe and convenient dipper for removing small quantities.

• Tipping Stand for LD25 - This stand provides mobility, improves dewar maneuverability, and allows safe dispensing of liquid nitrogen (LN₂) into smaller containers without use of a LN₂ dipper or the optional Liquid Withdrawal Device (LWD).
