Product Description
Labgear NSC4 4-Head UV LED Spot Curing System
provides fast, controllable UV LED spot curing on 4 independent channels. It is a compact, production-ready UV LED spot curing system built around a 4-channel controller and four independently adjustable LED heads. Configure each channel for the wavelength, optics, intensity, and timing you need—then repeat it reliably across a bench process, work cell, or automated systems.

Comparison of NSC4 vs typical 4-channel UV LED spot systems
Capability that matters in real production How NSC4 addresses it Multi-stage cure control (beyond simple on/off or single timer) STEP mode supports multi-step intensity/time profiles and repeat cycles for process tuning. Automation integration without custom electronics External I/O terminal supports channel start/stop inputs and READY/BUSY/ERROR outputs; RS232 supported for controller communication. Preventing “mystery drift” from bumped settings Keyed parameter setting + lock options help maintain validated settings for quality and process control on the floor. Spot size flexibility for R&D → production transfer Interchangeable optical lenses for beam-size changes without replacing the entire head.

FAQs
Can I run different curing settings on each head?
Yes. NSC4 supports four independent channels so you can set different mode/intensity/time per head and run channels independently or together (with LINK settings if desired).
What’s the difference between Manual, Automatic, and STEP modes?
Manual is on/off control, Automatic adds a timed exposure, and STEP mode allows a multi-step profile (1–16 steps) where each step has its own intensity and time. STEP mode can also repeat for 1–99 cycles to match your validated process.
How do I integrate NSC4 into an automated station or PLC?
Use the 24P terminal for channel start/stop inputs and READY/BUSY/ERROR outputs. Start behavior supports either PULSE (toggle) or LOW (level-synchronized) control. RS232 is also available when serial control/monitoring is preferred.
What spot sizes are available, and how do I change them?
Choose the UV beam size option when ordering, and use replacement optical lenses to change spot size as needed. Lens choices affect spot size, focus distance, and delivered irradiance.
What does the keyed lock do?
The controller includes a keyed setting function: when the key is ON you can edit parameters; when it is not ON you can still run irradiation, but settings cannot be changed—helpful for preventing accidental process drift.
What safety precautions should I plan for?
UV light can be hazardous. Use appropriate protective glasses/face shield/clothing, ensure grounding, and maintain clearance for cooling per the operator’s manual.
Documentation
Note: The manual contains detailed wiring guidance and full RS232 command/protocol examples. For most buyers, the summary specs above are enough to confirm fit; the PDF is the right place for protocol-level integration details.
