is a 95 mm (3.74 in.) crescent-shaped paddle impeller designed for broad vessel coverage, tangential-style circulation, viscous liquid blending, solids distribution, heat transfer, and other low-to-medium-speed mixing applications.

Applications

Viscous Liquid Blending

The broad crescent-shaped blade displaces a large section of the batch with each revolution, supporting the blending of syrups, light resins, polymer solutions, creams, lotions, gels, viscous cleaners, coatings, and other low-to-moderately-high-viscosity formulations.

Curved-Bottom Vessel Mixing

The rounded lower profile may improve movement through the lower region of round-bottom flasks, bowl-shaped containers, curved laboratory reactors, and other vessels where a narrow straight blade may provide limited bottom coverage.

High-Solids Distribution

The broad blade area can help maintain the bulk distribution of fillers, fine mineral powders, pigments, thickeners, suspended additives, and other readily wetted solids without relying on concentrated high shear.

Heat Transfer and Temperature Equalization

Broad movement near the vessel wall and lower surface can improve contact with heating or cooling jackets, bottom heating zones, coils, and temperature probes.

Gentle Formulation Mixing

Low-to-medium-speed bulk movement may suit shear-sensitive mixtures, surfactant-containing formulations, foaming products, and finished emulsions that require uniformity without aggressive dispersion.
