Product Description
MRC Impeller No. 21
is a compact 30 mm (1.18 in.) three-blade turbine-style impeller designed to produce axial circulation for small-volume liquid blending, powder incorporation, light solids suspension, heat transfer, and other low-viscosity mixing applications.
Applications
Small-Volume Liquid Blending
The compact three-blade rotor provides concentrated circulation for reagent preparation, buffer mixing, dilution, pH adjustment, sample preparation, and other small-batch blending processes.
Powder Incorporation
Axial pumping can help draw readily wetted powders, salts, buffer components, catalysts, and soluble formulation ingredients into low-viscosity liquids.
Light Solids Suspension
The directional flow may help maintain fine particles, light catalysts, weakly settling solids, small crystals, and previously dispersed powders in small laboratory vessels.
Heat Transfer and Temperature Equalization
Axial circulation repeatedly moves liquid past vessel walls, small heating or cooling surfaces, immersion elements, and temperature probes to support batch temperature uniformity.
Features
- Compact 30 mm (1.18 in.) diameter supports small-vessel and low-volume mixing.
- Three broad curved blades form a turbine-style rotor around a central hub.
- Compact circular profile produces a concentrated pumping zone.
- Smooth rounded blade surfaces provide gentler product interaction than straight radial turbines or sawtooth dissolvers.

FAQs
What type of impeller is the MRC Impeller No. 21?
It is a 30 mm (1.18 in.) three-blade, compact axial-flow turbine-style impeller.
Can this impeller create a surface vortex?
Yes. Operation near the surface or at excessive speed in an unbaffled vessel may create vortexing and air entrainment. Greater immersion, lower speed, off-center placement, shaft tilt, or baffles may help reduce it.
Warranty
The MRC Impeller No. 21 is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. For warranty assistance, replacement parts, product support, or application guidance, contact LabGear USA technical support. Warranty valid for 12 months.
