Product Description
MRC Impeller No. 23
is a four-blade collapsible impeller designed for blending, homogenizing, dissolving, and suspension work in vessels with narrow openings. Its hinged blades fold inward for insertion through a restricted vessel neck, then swing outward during rotation to provide a working diameter of 140 mm (5.51 in.).
Applications
Narrow-Neck Vessel Mixing
Designed for insertion into bottles, flasks, carboys, reactors, and other vessels where a fixed 140 mm impeller cannot pass through the available opening.
General Liquid Blending
Provides broad engagement with the batch after the blades open, supporting routine blending of compatible low-to-moderate-viscosity liquids.
Dissolving and Homogenizing
Suitable for dissolving soluble ingredients, evening out concentration differences, and promoting more uniform composition throughout the vessel.
Suspension Maintenance
The deployed blades can help maintain compatible solids in suspension and reduce settling during laboratory and small-batch processing.
Restricted-Access Reactors and Containers
Useful where the impeller must pass through a limited access port before opening inside a larger vessel body.
Features
- Four hinged blades fold inward for insertion through narrow vessel openings.
- Blades swing outward during rotation to form a broad working profile.
- Designed specifically for vessels with restricted necks or access ports.
- Suitable for blending, dissolving, homogenizing, and suspension-maintenance tasks.
- Allows the impeller to remain attached to the shaft during insertion and removal.
- Collapsible construction eliminates the need to assemble a full-size fixed impeller inside the vessel.
