Product Description
The MRC HOP-GRFT Series Graphite Blocks are designed for use with the HOP-3622-GRFT and HOP-4632-GRFT graphite hotplates. These hotplate blocks are solid graphite for superb chemical inertness and thermal conductivity. This makes the HOP-GRFT series an excellent choice for high temperature processes with reactive chemicals and environments.
Applications
Ideal for research, QC, education and industrial processing and testing in challenging materials and environments:
-
Acid/base catalyzed reactions,
-
Oxidation/reduction reactions,
-
Decomposition of organic or inorganic compounds,
-
Reactions under reflux, often with flammable or reactive solvents (e.g., ethanol, toluene)
-
Heat water, oil, or sand baths that provide uniform temperature environments for sensitive or highly exothermic reactions.
-
Cure polymers or anneal thin films in the presence of reactive gases or chemicals,
- Development of Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) stained plates involving reactive stain chemicals that may become reactive upon heating.
Features
-
Solid graphite prevents contamination making them ideal for Trace Material and Ultra-Trace Metal Analysis,
-
Graphite is highly resistant to aggressive chemical attack.
-
Enhanced heating uniformity through use of isostatic graphite, providing high density and great thermal conductivity, for excellent homogeneity among all samples.
-
Selection of blocks adapts hotplates for tubes and digestion vessels.
