MRC Labs SOD-Series Analog Laboratory Sand Baths provides uniform heating on the entire surface.

Features

• A total area up to over 360" sq. (0.236M sq.) of heated surface area,

• Usable sand depth of 50 mm,

• Aluminum alloy hotplate with a screwed-on, sealed stainless steel bath frame for direct contact with the hotplate providing good uniformity over the entire heating surface,

• Housing is constructed from high-grade 304 stainless steel, with powder coated finish and robust construction for heavy usage in industrial applications,

• Heating of corners and edges included with variable wattage control,

• Four adjustable feet for stability,

• Analog dials for power limit and temperature control.

• Temperature performance data shown is approximate.  Actual performance will depend upon the quality, consistency, and grain size of the sand. Sand is a generally poor heat conductor, so warming towards the surface of the sand occurs very slowly. Measurements shown are based on high quality sand taken after a 90 minute heating period.
