MRC Overhead Stirrer Impellers

MRC overhead stirrer impellers are available in a wide range of blade geometries and diameters for laboratory blending, dissolving, dispersion, suspension maintenance, heat-transfer support, and viscous-material processing. The selection includes radial-flow turbines and dissolver discs, axial-flow propellers, tangential anchors and gate impellers, and collapsible designs for narrow-neck vessels.

Choose an impeller according to the vessel size, liquid viscosity, desired circulation pattern, required shear level, and available overhead-stirrer speed and torque. Available diameters range from 15 to 200 mm (0.59 to 7.87 in.), supporting applications from small-volume sample preparation to larger laboratory and pilot-scale batches.

Flow-style note: Axial-flow impellers primarily move material parallel to the shaft for top-to-bottom circulation. Radial-flow impellers discharge material outward toward the vessel wall and generally provide greater localized shear. Tangential-flow impellers move material around the vessel and are commonly used for gentle, low-speed mixing of more viscous products.
