    Product Description

    AnalytikJena's Model CX-2000 UV Crosslinker supplies uniform intensity overhead UV exposure of materials. It utilizes shortwave ultraviolet energy to bond DNA to a medium. Ultraviolet Crosslinking for attaching nucleic acids to a membrane takes seconds as compared to oven baking.

    AnalytikJena Crosslinkers offer researchers an instrument to quickly, safely and efficiently expose samples to a controlled amount of ultraviolet radiation. A unique UV sensor continually measures the UV energy and automatically adjusts to variations in UV intensity that occurs as the UV tubes age. This same UV sensor feedback measurement system allows you to set UV sample exposure, which automatically deactivates the UV sources when the set UV energy dose has been achieved.

    Applications

    Exposure of samples to UV provides for the following processes:

    • Crosslinking of DNA or RNA to nitrocellulose, nylon or reinforced nitrocellulose,
    • PCR sample contamination control,
    • Photoniking of DNA,
    • Testing RNA function,
    • Rapid site mapping,
    • UV sterilization and sanitization,
    • UV curing.

      • Factory presettings deliver 120,000 microjoules or 5 minutes of exposure,
      • Maximum UV energy setting of 999,900 microjoules per cm2.
    • Integrated UV sensor for measurement and exposure control is calibrated at the UVP factory to ensure accuracy and reliability,
    • If user requirements and applications change, the CL-1000 provides the unique ability to change the ultraviolet wavelength and recalibrate the UV sensor and microprocessor to the new UV wavelength with new UV tubes and re-calibration,
    • Microprocessor output control optimizes the use of energy while ensuring consistent, maximum energy efficiency and output,
    • Large LED display with touch panel displays time or energy settings,
    • Window on the door allows viewing of the process yet blocks the UV radiation,
    • Small footprint for benchtop use,
    • Five 8-watt ultraviolet tubes provide uniform overhead ultraviolet illumination.

    AnalytikJena 's products are guaranteed to be free of defects in materials, workmanship and manufacture for one (1) year from date of purchase, except as follows: - Consumable and disposable parts are guaranteed to be free from defects in manufacture and materials for ninety (90) days from date of purchase. - UV tubes and filters are guaranteed to be free from defects in manufacture and materials for ninety (90) days from date of purchase. - AnalytikJena Transilluminators are guaranteed to be free from defects in manufacture and materials for two (2) years from date of purchase. If equipment failure or malfunction occurs during the warranty period, AnalytikJena shall examine the inoperative equipment and have the option of repairing or replacing any part(s) which, in the judgment of AnalytikJena , were originally defective or became so under conditions of normal usage and service. No warranty shall apply to this instrument, or part thereof, that has been subject to accident, negligence, alteration, abuse or misuse by the end-user. Moreover, AnalytikJena makes no warranties whatsoever with respect to parts not supplied by AnalytikJena or that have been installed, used and/or serviced other than in strict compliance with instructions appearing in this manual.
